Amazing! I was looking for a new soul food spot and I found it! I drove from Chester to get me some and will do so many more times! Lena was such a lovely person with great hospitality! I had fried whitening with yams Mac and cabbage! Everything was a 10/10! The flavors were so good and cooked to perfection! The yams are amazing and even the homemade teas! Thank you Lena!!

If you’re looking for the best Black American cuisine in Wilmington, DE, this is the place to go. My go-to meal is the fried whiting with green beans and macaroni and cheese—absolutely delicious. I make the trip from Philadelphia every week just to eat here. It’s that good.

I'm a southern soul in the North. This place is my home away from home . I absolutely love everything about it. The entire menu will make you slap ya grandma..lol You won't be disappointed!! Please do yourself a favor and go get you some food that will melt in your mouth.

The food was so good here. Normally I'm not really into soul food restaurants because they rarely meet my expectations but this place, I will be coming back to for sure. I ordered jerk Turkey Wings with Mac n cheese. First off the Mac n cheese was amazing and that's usually what I judge the hardest on. If the Mac n Cheese doesn't slap, I'm not coming back. Then the turkey wings were really good too. They weren't overwhelmingly smothered in gravy and very well seasoned. I have been to some soul food places that tasted like the food was made by Linda from Accounting. But this food was gifted from the ancestors themselves. 10/10 on the food. Price was decent too. Now the service: when I walked in It was a super friendly atmosphere. What I believe to be the owner or chef greeted me at the door, made sure my food was heated and was just honestly the sweetest lady ever. My only caveat is that the menu online is out of date so the prices were off, which may not be there fault anyway. Overall, I recommend this place if your looking for some good soul food in downtown Wilmington. Was not disappointed at all.
